Just do it. Easier said than done. Health is our mental and physical obsession. The self has become an unhealthy preoccupation. This body of research, made during my residency at Glasgow School of Art, is a response to a perceived imbalance. Why are we compelled to be body beautiful? What is it that drives us to seek perfection? We are driven to achieve. Driven to win. Driven to be better. But what does it mean to be constantly fed representations of how our lives should be lived and why does this need to be addressed? We are sold health and beauty. Constantly reminded that we need anther thing in order to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. We are wanting. Continually wanting.
